The Impact of Sound

The impact of sound that is used to produce films is essential in capturing the the genre that is wanted for the film. Depending on the genre of the film, the soundtrack used will be one to suit the genre, epic and fast music for action, disturbing and chilling music will most likely be used for horror,feel good music for comedy, and motivational music for drama style films and life stories. Multiple examples of this are shown below.

The History of Trailers

Compared to the trailers that are produced today that feature award winning soundtracks and special effects, trailers used to be simple for most of the time but some were also informative. One example of this is the 6 minute length trailer for the american film "Psycho", directed by Alfred Hitchcock.
